Vine pruning

Winter, the season of transition.
The different plots need maintenance like pruning.We prune from December to prepare the future branches.Two kinds of pruning depending on whether it is a white or red vine.

White chardonnay pruning

For the Chardonnay (white) we prune in "Guyot Simple", and we remove all the double buds.

The objective is to limit the yields, increase sunlight, ventilate the plants and improve maturity.

Spring

 

Selection of the future bunches

We select by disbudding the branches carrying the future bunches, to obtain the ideal number of grapes on each plant.

Start of plowing work

Plowing begins.
The objective is to do without chemicals and to aerate the soil, so that the roots sink deep into the soil and the tastes of the land develop.

Summer

Desuckering and tying up

May - June: the vines are in flower, disbudding and tying up have started, plowing continues.
